Privacy and KVKK Notice

Last updated: July 20, 2026

This notice explains how we handle your personal data under Turkish Personal Data Protection Law No. 6698 (“KVKK”) when you visit agustos.com or contact us.

Data controller

The data controller is Ağustos Teknoloji Ltd. Şti. You can contact us at Barbaros Mah. Denizmen Sok. 21/2, 34668 Üsküdar/İstanbul, Türkiye, or by email at [email protected].

Data we process and why

  • Contact data: If you email us, we process your name, email address, message and any attachments to respond to your request, communicate with you, manage proposal or contract discussions, and meet legal obligations where necessary.
  • Technical and security data: Our hosting and security infrastructure may process technical data accompanying requests to the site, such as IP address, request time, requested URL and browser information, to deliver the site, prevent abuse and resolve technical problems.
  • Aggregate usage statistics: We use Plausible Analytics to understand at an aggregate level which pages are visited and which outbound links are used. Plausible does not use cookies or persistent identifiers and does not store IP addresses or raw data that identifies individuals. See the Plausible data policy for details.
  • Theme preference: Your light or dark theme choice is stored only in your browser's local storage under the key agustos:theme. It is not sent to our servers or to third parties.

Collection methods and legal grounds

Data is collected electronically through emails you send, technical requests made to the website and our service providers. Depending on the activity, processing is based on the grounds set out in Article 5 of the KVKK: establishing or performing a contract, meeting a legal obligation, establishing, exercising or protecting a right, and pursuing our legitimate interests where these do not prejudice your fundamental rights and freedoms.

Sharing and service providers

We may share data, only as necessary for the relevant purpose, with Cloudflare for hosting and security, Plausible Analytics for aggregate website statistics, our email and technical service providers, and legally authorised public bodies. These providers may operate infrastructure outside Türkiye. Where an international transfer is necessary, the appropriate safeguards and applicable transfer mechanisms under Article 9 of the KVKK are observed.

Retention

We keep personal data only for as long as the relevant purpose requires and within applicable statutory retention periods. Contact records are kept while the request or business relationship continues and for as long as needed for possible legal claims. Technical records are retained for the limited periods applied by our providers for security and service continuity. When the relevant period expires, data is deleted, destroyed or anonymised.

Your rights

Under Article 11 of the KVKK, you have the right to:

  • learn whether your personal data is processed and request information about it,
  • learn the purpose of processing and whether your data is used for that purpose,
  • know the third parties to whom your data is transferred in Türkiye or abroad,
  • request correction of incomplete or inaccurate data,
  • request deletion or destruction where the statutory conditions are met,
  • request notification of corrections, deletions or destruction to recipients of the data,
  • object to an adverse result produced solely by automated analysis, and
  • claim compensation for damage caused by unlawful processing.

You can exercise these rights by sending a request that identifies you and describes your request to the postal address above or to [email protected]. We respond in accordance with the procedures and time limits set by the KVKK and related legislation.

Sale and sharing; Global Privacy Control

We do not sell personal data and we do not “share” it with advertisers or data brokers. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control (GPC) signal, the same posture applies; there is no additional opt-out step because there is no sale or sharing activity to stop.

Changes

If our website or data-handling practices change, we will update this notice and publish the new date at the top of this page.
