Born 1974 in İstanbul. Electrical engineer. Graduate of Istanbul Technical University, lighting branch. He completed his undergraduate studies in 1996 with a thesis on “General Lighting Applications with LEDs”, though most likely he fell in love with light the first time he opened his eyes.
Speaks English. Holds an MBA.
His journey with light, which began at university with stage lighting, lasted nearly twenty-five years across lighting companies, from sales to manufacturing, design to marketing. He looked for lighting solutions that speak the language of stone, wood, earth, and nature; that do no harm to what yesterday carried into today; designed around need; calm, harmonious, and under control. In 2019 he ended a long relationship with corporate life and decided to try something more independent.
